So far, we all knew zebra-crossings are used to slow down the vehicle speed. Therefore, road passers can easily cross the road without any fear of hitting vehicle. In India, Rules are very strong but anyone can break them easily at anytime, anywhere in our society. In addition, many people of India who go with vehicle can’t take safety actions simultaneously local Government also fails to implement road safety awareness programs as the result many road accidents take place.
But, other side of India we can see innovative road safety signs very effectively which could educate the people very nicely. Here is a propelling experiment took place in Iceland, The city (Ísafjörður) uses 3D printed zebra-crossings that create optical illusion to slow down cars and trucks at nominal speed and let freely cross pedestrian while going to other side of the road.
Now, this 3D eye-catching intersection in northwest Iceland is grabbing the attention of people and vehicle owners to better understand the road safety posters, signs and road safety symbols. They hope the new concept could bring positive results in Pedestrian crossing as theme almost reached to public.
We, People of India have to get inspiration from them because due to lack of road/traffic controls knowingly or unknowingly people become a victim of road accident. If, a person hit on road makes his family too face problems.
So, friends from our S9TV we suggest you be aware of Road Safety and Traffic Rules and do take it as your responsibility and become good citizens of India.
